Growing up changes the way you see friendships. You slowly realize that having many friends doesn’t always mean you have real ones.
A few people who genuinely care and stay by your side are enough. Quality over quantity becomes more important with time.

I'm extremely lucky to have the same friends for more than 30 years. It's kind of difficult to appreciate in the moment, but whenever I take a step back and realize that most people do not have close friends that you can connect with for more than 3 decades, I start to really see how lucky I am.
